The woman who killed music legend Selena was denied parole in Texas Thursday after serving 30 years of her life sentence, authorities announced. Yolanda Saldivar will continue to serve out her life sentence for the notorious 1995 shooting death of acclaimed singer Selena Quintanilla-Perez in a Texas motel, the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles said. The three-member panel voted to deny parole to Saldivar, 64, claiming the convicted killer of the beloved Spanish singing sensation continues to pose a threat to public safety.
