Co-workers of the Maui doctor who allegedly tried to murder his wife by shoving her off a Hawaii vista and beating her with a rock said they are shocked by the frightening allegations against the anesthesiologist — whom they described as “friendly” and “quiet. ” Gerhardt Konig, 46, is accused of trying to push his wife, Arielle, off a popular hiking trail close to the Pali Lookout area on Oahu, after she reportedly refused to take a picture of him. Fellow medical professionals at Maui Memorial Medical Center — where Konig worked as an independent contractor — described him as “friendly” and “quiet,” reported Island News.
