Palestinian rescuers search the rubble of a four-storey residential block in Gaza City for survivors after it was flattened by an Israeli strike, killing at least 23 people, according to the civil defence agency. The strike took place in the Shujaiya neighbourhood of Gaza City, the agency's spokesman Mahmud Bassal told AFP.
