A member of the University of New Mexico’s marching band made waves on social media before the team’s second-round loss to Michigan State in the NCAA men’s tournament on Sunday. Some March Madness fans were buzzing about a woman playing the flute when TNT cameras captured the band performing in the stands at Rocket Arena in Cleveland, where the Spartans advanced to the Sweet 16 with a 71-63 victory over the Lobos. The woman, who styled her long gray hair with a pom pom, appeared to be much older than her fellow band members.
