President Trump yanked Secret Service protection for ex-Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, the federal agency confirmed Monday evening. Mayorkas, who was the face of the previous White House’s lenient stance on illegal immigration, initially had his taxpayer-provided security detail extended for six months by then-President Biden before it was cut short by Trump this week. The Secret Service would have been with Mayorkas through mid-July if it wasn’t scrapped.
