Mayor Eric Adams’ indicted former top aide Ingrid Lewis-Martin could face fresh criminal charges as Manhattan prosecutors have opened a “new” grand jury probe in her corruption case, it was revealed in court Thursday. “This case has been opened in a new grand jury,” Assistant District Attorney Ken Moore said during a virtual hearing for Lewis-Martin, who is accused of trading favors with two Big Apple hoteliers in exchange for more than $100,000 in bribes. Moore cryptically raised the possibility of bringing “potentially other matters related to these defendants” when asked about “related cases” during the hour-long hearing, which Lewis-Martin did not attend.
