Drafting Zion Williamson proved to be a career-killer for David Griffin. The Pelicans fired Griffin, their executive vice president of basketball operations, on Monday after the franchise missed the playoffs for the fourth time in his six seasons. Griffin tallied a 209-263 record and won two playoffs games in his stint, which included this year’s 21-61 mark.
