Most opinion polls show Pierre Poilievre's Conservative Party is trailing Carney's Liberals ahead of the April 28 vote. But the race remains tight and Poilievre worked hard at the debate to stem Liberal momentum that has picked up since Carney replaced Justin Trudeau as prime minister on March 14.
