Cooper Flagg only aspires to be one thing — why that’s the right mindset

The mere mention of his name makes the hearts of basketball junkies and old-timers and NBA general managers flutter.   Legendary Celtics GM Red Auerbach had the foresight to draft Larry Bird in 1978 even though he knew he would have to wait a year to sign him, and there isn’t any doubt that he would have waited a year for Cooper Flagg.   By no means is this saying that Cooper Flagg is The Next Larry Bird.
