At this rate, it’s more surprising to hear Anthony Rendon will actually play a baseball game than not. Spring training has barely started and the oft-injured, rarely active Angels third baseman’s season is already in jeopardy due to hip surgery that will sideline him for a “significant” stretch, general manager Perry Minasian told reporters Wednesday. Rendon had a recent setback in his rehab and now might further solidify his claim for owning the worst contract in baseball and perhaps of all-time.
