New York City Mayor Eric Adams saw the charges against him dropped with prejudice, meaning they cannot be reopened AFP A US judge on Wednesday permanently dismissed corruption charges against New York City Mayor Eric Adams, weeks after President Donald Trump's administration pushed to stop the unprecedented prosecution. Judge Dale Ho agreed to grant the Justice Department's proposed motion to dismiss the indictments, but was critical of its arguments and closed the door on it being able to reopen the case against Adams. Adams -- once an up-and-coming star of the Democratic Party -- was accused of wire fraud, soliciting illegal foreign campaign donations and a bribery conspiracy involving Turkish citizens and at least one Turkish official.
